Hello, everyone. My name is Joi, freelance makeup artist in New York, and I want to show you all today, how to apply makeup to look trendy and elegant. So, to use, to do that today, we're going to actually be using a couple of brushes here, fluffy brush and a smudger. We're going to be using a bit of eye shadow and we're going to use a black eye liner. So, one look that is always classic and elegant, is a soft, smoky eye. But one thing that you can do to make it a bit more trendy, is to add a color to it. So, as you can see here, she's wearing a smoky eye, but she actually has gold as an accent color on the lid. So, I'm just going to show you quickly here, how we did that, go ahead and close. So, I'm just going to take the liner. It doesn't necessarily have to be neat here, we're just going to put it in the outer corner, down by the lash line. O.k., smudging it with my smudge brush and then, we're going to follow up same thing on the bottom here in just a second. If you need to add more, that's fine, adding a bit more. And as you can see, we put the gold on first, so it kind of picks through. O.k., and then, same thin on the bottom here, just lining right up under the lashes and then, we're going to smudge. That's the thing with the smoky eye, it doesn't necessarily have to be neat. We're going to smudge it, you just want to make sure that it's very well blended. And layering is the key. So, if you want to continue on, after this. just continue layering to get that soft, smoky look, like we have on the other side there. O.k., so, there you go, we have a nice, soft, smoky eye with a pop of gold, to make it look a bit more trendy. So, go out and have fun with your makeup looks, guys. And thank you for watching, my name is Joi.
