Hi, I'm Hillary Cooper, New York city-based fashion stylist here to talk to you about the appropriate attire for Fall and Winter weddings. A question I'm asked all the time by my clients, this is the season and right now to get dressed for it you've got to think about fashion and function. A great way to do this is to be warm and comfortable in a fabric like cashmere, it's a terrific way to add a sleeve to a dress and still feel like you are wearing a sweater but dressed up. The detail of this, the silk puff and cufflink is a terrific way to make a play on what a man's tuxedo is but for a woman. Terrific to wear it in a short length if you can with a great tight and a very high heel, a fishnet if you dare or a great silk stocking with a little bit of decal would be terrific. Another thing is it's a jewelry dress so you want to add a pop of jewelry to it, a great necklace, a great pair of earrings, a statement ring, a statement cuff, something to really pop with this would be terrific. Another great way to do a Fall or Winter wedding in a great different kind of a dress is to go for brocade. This year all the designers are showing the metallics and the fabrics have texture and color and a great feel to them. This is a vintage dress that I bought in my Montreal in a consignment shop. It's from the 1950s and it's got amazing detail and again it's got metallic in it. It's got undertones of gold with the greens. It's flattering on everybody and a great way to wear a fun different unique dress to a Fall or Winter wedding. Then I've also got my friend Giorgio New York's collection to showcase and this is a velvet dress which is also warm and chic and comfortable, a sheath dress with a great pop of color underneath. So you've got a silk lined dress that you see a peek of color when you cross your legs, you see it at the neckline and it looks terrific with a silk scarf and this could also be interchanged with a bunch of different colored scarves and looks great and different if you have to go to a couple of different Winter weddings. Again, back to the metallics, the idea of wearing a matte silver dress really terrific and flattering on every skin tone and also terrific with a great big accessory, a wonderful cuff with the jewel tones that are oh so popular for the Fall and a couple of different great silk scarves and that's a great way to dress for a Fall or Winter wedding.
