Hi, my name is Claire Coleman. I'm a hair stylist, and I'm going to show you how to do a fast ballet bun. Now ballerinas need their hair to be really secure because they are turning and it's really important for their hair to not be the focus of what they're doing. So we're just going to bring the hair all the way back in to a ponytail. You want to make sure that it's nice and smooth, that there's nothing sticking out. It's really important. Having your hair whipping in your face while you're trying to turn and dancing, it can be very distracting. So we're just going to secure the hair after everything is nice and tight. You can use a little hair spray to just take any of the flyaways. And I'm just going to secure that with a hair tie. Nice and tight. You definitely want to get your ponytail as tight as you can with your hair tie. And then you're going to start twisting around. If you have a lot of hair you might want to start pinning as you're twisting. So you're just going to twist about half way. I'm going to take a couple of pins and I'm just going to connect the hair in the bun with the hair that is pulled in to the ponytail. That way you have a base that is going to hold it really nice and tight. And just a couple of pins while you're working the bun in. And then continue twisting around. Couple more pins. It's very important to make sure it's secure. So the more pins you use, the more secure it's going to feel. Keep pinning. And you really want to make sure to get your ends in. So I will take a bobby pin and when you have your ends just take a bobby pin like this and just poke it right in there. That way you're not going to see it at all. That's the finished look. My name is Claire Coleman, and I just showed you how to do a quick ballet bun.
