I'm Renee Byrd with Camp Gladiator in Dallas, Texas, here to talk about the benefits of stretching your hamstrings. It is so important to have flexible hamstrings, a lot of times if we stand on our feet all day and we have tight hamstrings, what happens is it tends to pull on those lower back muscles causing some lower back pain. In addition to that, maybe you sit at a desk all day. Sitting can actually shorten those muscles causing lower back pain. So, the best thing to do before you workout, after you workout, always stretch those muscles, but try to do it everyday. So, if you're not working out a particular day, make sure you still get those hamstrings stretched out. So, now, I'm going to show you guys an easy hamstring stretch that you can do at home, after work anywhere you maybe just to get in a quick stretch. So, here you are, you're just going to have a seat on the ground, wherever you're comfortable. You're going to take one leg, you're going to place the sole of your foot on the inside of your other leg. Be careful not to place it on your knee, but place it on the inside of your thigh. You're going to stay nice and tall, reach forward with your hands and then just tilt, tilt, tilt, not pulling on your foot, but holding that stretch as long as you can, maybe about 15-20 seconds. Again, I'm Renee Byrd with Camp Gladiator, we just talked about the benefits of stretching your hamstrings.
