Hi, I'm Renee Byrd with Camp Gladiator in Dallas, Texas, here today to talk about how to perform a squat jump. Squat jumps are great because they are something you can do virtually anywhere, no matter where you are at, no matter what time of day it is. The important key points to remember when performing this squat jump are watching out for your knees, making sure that your core is tight, not using your back, very important not to bend over forward and you have an opportunity to advance it or go back to beginner level. An advanced version of the squat jump guys is making sure that your glutes come all the way down to your calves, getting that really deep explosive movement. The other level is right at the medium, just kind of like you're going to sit in a chair and change your mind. So you're going to sit in a chair, change your mind, sit in a chair, change your mind and then finally for those beginners who are just new to squat jumps and not quite sure if their form is correct, keep it small, almost like a very small air squat.
