I'm Renee Byrd with Camp Gladiator in Dallas, Texas, and today we're going to talk about how to stretch your calves using a sit and reach method. Today, I'm going to show you guys a great way to stretch out your calves; remember, you definitely want to warm up first before you stretch anything out. But, this can be a great convenient way to stretch out your calves especially when you're out for a jog. So, what you're going to do is stop at a park bench, you're going to place one foot onto the bench. It's going to be very very important that you realize that it's not a hamstring stretch. So, you're not going to stretch your hamstring, you literally are going to stretch your calves. And what you're going to do is you're going to lead over all the way over using your hips. You're going to reach if you can towards the bottom of your shoe sole and you're going to pull your toes towards your tor, torso. You're going to hold that stretch for about 15 to 20 seconds, guys. Again, remembering never stretch to the point of pain, never stretching longer than that 15-20 second mark and never stretching without proper warm up. Again, my name is Renee Byrd with Camp Gladiator, and we just covered how to stretch out your calves using the sit and reach method.
