Hi, everyone. My name is Joi. I’m a freelance makeup artist in New York, and I want to show you all today how to exfoliate your skin using a toothbrush. So, the only thing I’m going to be using today, of course, is a toothbrush. A couple of things before we get started: With this, you want to be sure that it is a toothbrush that has soft bristles, because toothbrushes can actually irritate your skin just a bit if you’re using one of the firm bristle ones. You want to also be sure that when you’re applying pressure to the skin that you’re doing it very lightly. You don’t want to agitate your skin, you don’t want to scratch yourself. So, basically, the thing that I do when I’m exfoliating my skin with a toothbrush is, I’m only going to do it if I have a dry patch. I’m not going to exfoliate over the whole entire face. So, just to show you how I would do it, I would take it and, let’s say I had a small patch of dry skin here, very gently I would just go in circular motions, okay? And again, just only doing it in the spot that has the dryness. So, this is something that you can do from time to time – definitely don’t do this every day – and it’s just kind of a quick fix.
