Hello, everyone. My name is Joi, freelance makeup artist in New York, and I want to show you all today how to sharpen a mechanical eyeliner. So, I’ve got my mechanical eyeliner here, and first off, mechanical just basically means it’s one of these pencils that twists up. So, you wouldn’t use a traditional sharpener. If you want to get a bit of a pointier tip onto your eyeliner, what you want to do is first just clean it off a bit. Get any excess liner off the edge, twist it, and then to make the point, I’m just going to take it on a paper towel and I’m going to twirl it in a circular motion. And, this is actually basically just shaping the tip of the liner. So, you want to continue with that, going around until you see the point forming. If you want to, you can kind of test it on the back of your hand and make sure that the line is as sharp as you need it to be – if not, you can continue. And, this is a really good way to make sure that you don’t end up with a flat point. So, I hope this is helpful to everyone. Thank you all for watching, and again, my name is Joi. Bye!
