Hi, I'm Todd Languell, The Flying Furniture Guy from R and D Wood Shop in Scotia, New York. Today, I'm going to show you how to remove stains from walnut wood. You can see here I've got a nice old piece of walnut that I need to do something to to try to work it so I can use it for another project. You can see that there's a lot of stains on this wood right here. Today, I'm going to use a Ryobi planer, surface planer and one thing about the planer is it's pretty loud, you want to wear ear protection and when you are planing, whatever you do to one side of the board, it's really highly recommended that you try to plane the other side as well. It gives it a good finished surface on both sides. So I'm going to go ahead and measure this up. We're going to go ahead and plane it and we'll show you what it looks like afterwards. After each rotation, you're going to want to flip it and do the other side as well. Okay, you can see what we have afterwards is a really great piece of wood here. You can see the heart of the tree, really great, grains all the way through. You can see the other side is just as beautiful. Now this can be used for any type of furniture restoration and repairs or if you want you can make a piece of furniture out of this or maybe a little jewelry box or something. I'm Todd Languell, The Flying Furniture Guy from R and D Wood Shop in Scotia and this was how to remove stains from walnut wood.
