Hi. My name is Melissa Barrad the owner of I Do...Weddings! I'm here today to teach you how to decorate your apartment for a wedding. Now that is a newer concept. Typically, people don't have weddings in their apartments, but it is something new because people are always doing something new these days, and really personalizing their wedding to their taste and their budget. So with that being said I really tried to think about what a client would do and would want to keep after the wedding, and this is what I came up with. It's a large wood planter filled with oasis as a base and I topped it with preserved sheet moss and it's topped with air plants. These are really, really cool. They don't require water and it's something that will definitely last after the wedding. They do require a good soaking every two weeks but it works in a variety of environments and it's really, really, hearty. So if you are doing something like having a wedding in your apartment or a similar location, it's something you can do well in advance and you wont have that mad scramble the day of. And of course candle light. If you are having people into your home it's naturally a very intimate environment. And I say the more candle light the better. And because it is also in your home I wouldn't be as concerned about making sure all of the candles match entirely. I think the more candle light the better. I'm Melissa Barrad with I Do...Weddings! in San Diego, and I just showed you how to decorate your apartment for a wedding.
