Hi, I'm Chris with Life Fit personal training out of Kansas City, and today I'm going to show you how hanging upside down from your knees can be an exercise. What you're going to do is you need a sturdy bar like this one and you have to have a partner to assist you in getting up and down. Go ahead and hold up there, climb up, slowly lower yourself down, good, and you're just going to hang, nice and relaxed. And the point of this is that it changes the direction that gravity is pulling on your body. It also elongates your spine and it's great for the lower back. You'll probably only want to hang starting out for about 30 seconds to a minute and then have your partner help you get out of it. You can increase time as you increase your tolerability to this position. Okay, and that's hanging upside down from your knees as an exercise.
