Hi, I'm Chris with Live Fit personal training out of Kansas City. Today, we're going to show you two leg exercises using a cable machine. We're going to use this ankle strap. What you do is hook the ankle strap to your cable, put the weight on a pretty low weight, probably 10 to 20 pounds, and you're going to strap the ankle around your foot and you're going to step away from the machine, pulling that cable out, step out a little farther and you're going to lean on the machine and then you're going to kick out to the side, laterally. You're going to put that hand on your hip and go again, extend out and keep the motion going, don't stop and you're going to do about 10 to 15 reps. That's great, what you're focusing on here is the outer leg and the glutes on the right side. You can go ahead and rest and the second exercise I'm going to show you, very similar except you're going to work more of the hamstring and the rear glut instead of the side glute. So you're going to face the machine, both hands on, step back a little farther and you're going to extend straight back making sure to squeeze your glute as you extend back. Again, 10 to 15 reps would be great. And those are two exercises for the legs using cables.
