Hi. I'm Erin Hendley professional makeup artist, and today I'm here to answer your question, what kind of eyeshadow should I wear with a teal, ivory and black dress. First of all those are three colors going on in one outfit. And the white and black are pretty neutral so they're not going to be too intense. But we do have teal going on with these other two things. So the classic rule of thumb is if you have a lot of colors going on down on the wardrobe end of the spectrum, to really just keep the eyes natural. Because we want it to be a cohesive look and not be having attention going everywhere on the map. So what we're going to just do is go in with our neutral color pallet. If you're going out for a night you can bump it up with a little bit of black. But for universal purposes we're just to stick to the khaki colors. And khaki colors really look great on light skin tones or dark skin tones. So it really is universal when I say that. And as always we can go all over with the khaki colors just to create a clean eye base. That's very important. We don't want to see any veins or red spots coming through. We just want to get all over. Even up into the brow bone, it gives it a slight lift believe it or not. And after we have that we can actually take the same brush and just go in with our brown. It can be light or a dark depending on how much you want to intensify the outside of the eye in the crease. And then we are just going to build some dimension in here. And really just work it on the outside. We don't want to go too far on the inside of the eyes because we don't want to bring darkness and draw it in. We want to our eyes to be open and out. And that's the best way to achieve this to keep any darkness on the outside of the eyes. It's beautiful and it complements the outfit and it doesn't overpower it but it looks cohesive. I'm Erin Hendley, and I just answered your question what color eyeshadow should I wear with a teal, ivory and black dress.
