Hi, everyone. I'm Joi, makeup artist in New York, and I want to talk to you all today about how to apply eyebrow pencil for black hair. So I'm going to be using, of course, a brow pencil, and then I also have a spoolie with me. Just a couple of things before we started, applying the pencil is the same regardless of what color hair and brows that you have. A couple of things though with black hair. I tend to not actually use a black pencil because sometimes it can come across looking just a bit harsh. So depending on the skin tone I'll use ether a very deep brown or sometimes even an off black. So just to show you here how you're going to apply it, I'll have you turn this way. You're just going to start with your pencil kind of to the side and you want to go in short strokes. So the idea is not to draw on an eyebrow so much as it is just to fill it in, so short strokes here and of course you're going to do this focusing on the spaces where there may be little hairs missing, little sparse pieces and just doing that all the way out to the edge of the brow. Okay, so there you go, lightly filled in there. If you choose to you can follow up and just kind of groom in to place those hairs with your spoolie, or your brow brush. And there you go you have nice brow for someone with black hair. So thank you all for watching, and enjoy your day. Bye.
