Hello, everyone. My name is Joi, makeup artist in New York, and I want to show you all today how to keep your eye liner from smearing without using a waterproof eyeliner. So I have my liner, I have an angled shadow brush, and then I'm also going to be using a little bit of eye shadow today. So if you are using an eye liner and it doesn't happen to be waterproof what you can do is actually apply that to the lid just as normal and then to set it, because liners tend to be just a bit waxy and that's what causes smearing, is you can actually put on top of that a bit of eye shadow. So just to show you how that works I'm going to start off by just lining here as normal and we're just staying close to the lash line just to give her a nice thin line there, making sure to get into the inner corner. And if you happen to make any sort of a mistake or anything you want to correct it at this point. Because once you put the powder eye shadow on top of it, it is actually going to set it for you which is what you're looking to do. So we take the angled brush, and I used the brown liner so I'm going to actually dip into a brown shadow. If you want to do something a bit darker than your liner or a shadow that has a bit of shimmer you can actually do that too. So I'm taking the angled brush, and I'm going to just go right over the top of the line that I just made. OK. Just going straight across all the way to the edge there. And then I'm also just going to smooth out the line a bit with this brush. And you have a nice eye liner look that should last you all day. So I hope this works out for everyone, and want to thank you for watching. Again, my name is Joi. Bye.
