Hi, my name is Delf Enriquez of I'm here today at Reflex Performance in Pasadena, California to answer the question is using a barbell or a dumbbells better for your chest and basically I'm here to give you two reasons for why I think dumbbells are better. The first reason is that when you use dumbbells you have a greater potential for range of motion or you can go deeper within a bench press if you were using dumbbells as opposed to a barbell and then the second reason is that with individual arms moving, when you're using your dumbbells as opposed to both arms when you are doing a barbell bench press, you're actually able to get a different kind of muscle recruitment that overall allows you to even work your chest for example, unilaterally or one side at a time or doing it in different versions other than just brute pushing of both arms. So for those reasons using dumbbells are better for the chest than just using a barbell and with that said I'm Delf Enriquez of, and that was the answer to the debate is using dumbbells better than barbells for the chest. I'm here at Reflex Performance in Pasadena, California.
