Hi there. This is Delf Enriquez of delfenriquez.com and I'm here at reflex performance in Pasadena, California to talk about the debate of tricep extensions, barbell versus dumbbell. Now in my expert opinion dumbbells are better for tricep extensions compared to barbells because of two main reasons. The first reason is that with dumbbells you can move your arms independently of one another, and that requires a different neuromuscular activation. It actually makes it a little more challenging for your brain and your body to figure out. Now the second advantage to using dumbbells is that you can perform them in neutral grip, which is a different way of holding the weights. So for me it's these two reasons that make dumbbells better for tricep extension compared to barbells. So that settles the debate between barbells versus dumbbells for tricep extension. I'm at reflex performance in Pasadena, California and my name is Delf Enriquez of delfenriquez.com.
