Hi. My name is Ronique Gibson with stagetexture.com. Today, we're going to talk about wainscoting and color. Wainscoting is traditionally used on walls and also used with paneling underneath of it with chair rails to be able to not only bring your home a more traditional look but it's also good for areas that have high traffic and often get bent up or have a lot of traffic within a hallway, library, office, but also can just be used for beauty. If you can see here in my picture it can be paired up with any colors. What I like to do is use wainscoting with different traditional styles. For example, this wainscoting can also up at the top of a chair rail, but it can also be used with colors above or below. What I've noticed is that some people enjoy wainscoting that is just the straight bead board which are paneling that have little lines or groves in them. If you look in the picture you can see that different variations with bedrooms and also dining rooms and also offices are a great place to put wainscoting. If you'd like more contrast in your wainscoting consider using pairing up wood and also pairing up with white. You can see how the great contrast between the two can make a beautiful not only contrast but can provide different dimension to your living room, dining room or bedroom space. Wainscoting doesn't have to be difficult. Many people think it's a challenge but remember, it's all up to you and how you want to present it in your home. My name's Ronique Gibson from stagetexture.com, and this has been wainscoting and color.
