Hi, my name is Ronique Gibson from StageTecture.com. If you're a college student, or you're headed off to college, one thing you may want to figure out is, how are you going to live green? While you may have lived green at your home, bringing these ideas to your dorm room could be a challenge. So, here are some tips to help you live green. One of the ideas that I have over here, has to do with your heating and cooling. While you don't have to pay for the bill, you still want to be comfortable in your dorm room. So, consider cellular shades. These shades are actually triangular in nature and they actually help keep out the heat and also keep out the cold. So, depending on what time of season it is, it can help your dorm room stay very comfortable. Another idea has to deal with storage. Remember, in your dorm room, storage is at a high minimum. So, remember, anything from baskets to any kind of rubber made items that you can see through are great ideas. And also consider taking paper bags and reusing plastic bags to transport your items. And even doing your laundry, remember, sustainability is very easy when you have good tips to think on. Another idea has to do with drying your clothes. If you have room in your dorm room, think about a drying rack. It can also ave you money from not having to use the laundromat all the time. But also will help your clothes stay longer and reduce all of the electricity that is used in your laundry and in your green dorm room. And my last tip also has to do with lighting. Remember, if you use any kind of fixture like, table lamps or desk lamps. Consider using CFL or compact fluorescent lighting fixtures. These lamps or the actual bulbs are great for your dorm room and can help you live green. These tips will help you and also your roommate too. My name is Ronique Gibson from StageTecture.com, and this has been how to live green in your dorm room.
