Hi, I'm Kristen MacDowell from VivoPools in Southern California, and today I'm going to show you how to connect a pool vacuum. So you have your telescoping pole and you have your vacuum head and you simply insert the vacuum head into the pole. There's two small buttons on the side which will clip in like so and so it's nice and secure. The next thing you do is you're going to attach the hose to the vacuum head. So now we need to prime the hose which means to fill the hose with water so that there's no more air in there. The easiest way to do that and not tangle the hose while you're trying to do it is to go ahead and stretch the whole hose out the length of the pool and you're going to give it a twist. As you're pulling it you're going to give it a little bit of a twist so that it pulls out all of the coils. Okay now you're ready to put the vacuum in the water. So, you'll need to locate your skimmer on your pool, remove the skimmer lid, remove the skimmer basket and then most likely you'll have a float valve and then you'll need to remove that too. Okay then you'd want to just feed the end of the vacuum hose through the skimmer throat and plug it into the suction port of the skimmer. And now you're ready to vacuum your pool. So as you are vacuuming, the water is going through the vacuum hose, through the skimmer and then up through the equipment through the filter tank. I'm Kristen MacDowell with VivoPools in Southern California, and that's how you connect a pool vacuum.
