Hi, I'm Lee Cotton, Pilates instructor and healthy chef for eHow.com, and today I'm going to share with you foods for flat abs. So, I'm going to tell you these wonderful secrets in your kitchen. Let's start off with watermelon, who doesn't love watermelon on a hot day? Watermelon is filled with water, it's about 95% water. So eating this actually can help with bloat. Pineapple, pineapple is an amazing fruit. It is filled with enzymes and can actually help break down food in your body. So add this to your morning smoothie or maybe start your day with some fresh pineapple. Grapefruit, what diet does not have grapefruit in it? Well, there is a reason; grapefruit is filled with water, and it actually sustains your hunger because of its fiber. Apples, an apple a day does keep the doctor away and it can actually keep your gut away. Apples are filled with fiber. So they actually sustain your hunger and keep your energy levels up. Avocado, I know you are thinking avocados are full of fat but they're actually full of good fats, essential fatty acids. So these actually can help whittle away your mid section. Romaine lettuce, what diet does not have lettuce into it? There's a reason. Lettuce has chromium and chromium can actually help burn fat in your body, so having some lettuce and having a bunch of salads in your day is definitely the optimum way to go. Cucumbers, you see them at the spas, they place them onto their eyes, well there's a reason for this. Cucumbers can actually help with bloat. They are a natural diuretic and they are actually calorie dense. So load up on your cucs. Blueberries, blueberries are delicious. These little tiny berries are filled with antioxidants, so add this little antioxidant punch to your morning oatmeal. Now here is one of my favorite foods, quinoa. Quinoa is a super food. It has 11 grams of protein per half of a cup so it actually keeps you full. It's a great alternative and a healthy grain and is also gluten-free. Flax seed and flax seed oil, rich in omega 3 fatty acids, an amazing fat and again, can help flatten your abs and then my favorite which you guys all know from the commercial, chia seeds, yes, you can eat them. Top this with some blueberries, some flax seed and some chia seeds on your morning oatmeal and that's a flatten your abs breakfast. I'm Lee Cotton, owner of Pilatesandyourpalate.com and these are foods for flat abs.
