Hi, I'm Lee Cotton, healthy chef and Pilates instructor, and today I'm going to teach you how to make a hummus wrap. Hummus wraps are a great healthy snack or a great healthy lunch, a great alternative to a sandwich. So I'm going to begin by teaching you how to make hummus. Hummus is quite easy. You need about a can of garbanzo beans, also known as chick peas, some fresh lemon juice, some minced garlic, some tahini which is sesame paste, some salt and some olive oil. You place all of this into a food processor or an immersion blender and you blend until smooth. So here's where the fun part comes. I already have my hummus made and I have a brown rice healthy wrap which is a great alternative to the gluten one that are out there on the market. So I place this down onto the plate and I grab my beautiful hummus. Look how smooth and creamy this is. I'm going to add it to the center of the wrap and just smooth it on. Now this is when you can become creative, it depends on how much hummus you like. The wonderful thing about hummus is, is it's actually protein rich and full of amino acids and it's a great alternative to mayonnaise or some of your high fat spreads. So once my hummus is one, this is where you can be creative, I'm going to add some spinach because I love spinach. Spinach is also great with iron, so add a little bit of spinach. I'm going to add some carrots for some carotene, some chopped olives for essential fatty acids, some red pepper, good and some cucumbers to help with any bloating, cucumbers are great, good and then some tomatoes. Tomatoes are a great antioxidant, good and then I'm going to add some micrograins. They are beautiful. They kind of look like confetti in your sandwich. Good so I'm going to add everything in and then you're going to wrap your hummus wrap. So you simply just wrap it like you would, good and there here you go. This is how you make a hummus wrap.
