Hi, I'm chef Mariko, host of Culinary Adventures with Mariko. Today, I am going to show you how to make an apricot ginger teriyaki glaze or sauce. This is perfect for your favorite stir fried vegetables, pork, fish, chicken. It tastes good on everything. To get started, you will want to start with a small saucepan, then add a quarter cup of your favorite teriyaki sauce. Then add two tablespoons of brown sugar. Then add a quarter teaspoon of garlic or onion powder. Add a third of a cup of apricot preserves. Then you want to add a tablespoon of fresh minced garlic. I love using fresh garlic in this recipe because it gives everything a fresh kick. I'm going to add it to the rest of the sauce ingredients. Now stir it all together. And cook on the stove at low to medium heat for just a couple of minutes. Now that my apricot ginger teriyaki glaze has been on the stove for just a few minutes, it's ready. It only just needs a minute or two so all the ingredients have a chance to incorporate together. It smells so delicious. Delicious. And that's it. This is the perfect apricot ginger teriyaki glaze to go on your favorite stir fries, meats or veggies. This is chef Mariko Amekodommo showing you how to make an apricot ginger teriyaki glaze or sauce.
