Hi, my name is Tenisha, and today I'm going to demonstrate to you how to do a Shirley Temple curl, very simple. I'm going to use a wand and I'm going to use a spritz, you can also use hairspray, whatever you choose or whatever you have available at home. So what you're going to do, you're going to take your hair and section it. Take a small section or a medium size section, whatever you choose, depending on the size of curl you're looking for, take your spritz or your spray and lightly spray down the entire shaft of the hair, run it through and take your wand and starting at the top because remember Shirley Temple's curls started from the top and went all the way down and you're going to wrap it around the best you can and make sure you take it all the way to the end because Shirley Temple's curls went from the top all the way to the bottom. Now when you're using this tool, be very careful. You're going to take it all the way to the end. You're going to count maybe five, six seconds and let it heat up a little bit so you can have the curl, especially if your hair is really straight, hold it in place. Now Shirley Temple curls are really really fun. People associate them with little girls but not really. You can also take your Shirley Temple curls and kind of comb them out to give you a wavy look. So it's very versatile. You can start off your night with cute little curls and end your night looking spiffy. So your curl should be done and here you have it, top to bottom, nice and curled, use your wand, your spritz or spray and secure your curl in place. Now after you've curled your hair you can also spray it when it's done and just let it sit. If you decide to comb it out, that's fine but don't do anything until the hair has cooled off to maintain its shape. My name is Tenisha, and today I've showed you how to do a Shirley Temple curl.
