Hi, I'm Erin Hendley professional makeup artist, and today I'm here to answer your question. What do I do with navy eye shadow? Well the best thing to do is to apply it onto the eyes, navy is pretty much a neutral color that we see in clothing, but not necessarily in eye shadows, but it can be quite complementary. It's not far from black and it reads quite beautifully, but let's remember that a little bit goes a long way just like black does. Blue will also help enhance the eyes so I recommend keeping it pretty close to the actual iris and just going along the lash line to really enhance the eye color. It's not necessary to go all then way up on the eye because navy is best used as an accent color not an overall color. And if you're new to trying out navy just stick to the upper lash line don't bring it down. Sometimes with the dark colors underneath the eyes it can read a little tired and that's not what we want to do we just want to bring out the eye color and give it a little bit of fun, but we don't want to make it look too abstract just here to complement so we don't need to go crazy with it. I'm Erin Hendley, and I just showed you what to do with navy eye shadow.
