Hello. My name is Bryan Beal. I'm a personal trainer, and today I'll be discussing stair exercises for the knee. A great exercise to help build the muscle, the quadricep and the hamstrings it the stair lunge. These muscles strengthen and help absorb shock to the knee. To perform the stair lunge starting with both feet together, step up with one leg, taking two steps and then bring your back leg up to that same step. Repeat with the same leg ten to fifteen times and then switch legs. You can also do an alternating stair lunge where you step up with one leg and then step up with the other two more steps. It's like walking up a set of stairs except for taking two stairs at a time. And this is how you perform stair exercises for the knee.
