Hi, this is Stephany with Elevated Fitness, and today we're going to talk about how to tone legs and thighs with a resistance band. Now resistance bands can be really beneficial because they keep your body constantly contracting whenever you are doing the movement. We're going to focus on some leg workouts that you can do with the resistance band. One of them being a squat. So what you want to do is, I have a red band, there are so many different colors that you can use according to your fitness level so just calculate accordingly. We're going to go ahead and start out with a squat. So you want to go ahead and bring the bands at shoulder level. You keep your feet about hip width apart and squat down and squeeze your booty as you come up. Now this movement, you're constantly going to feel the bands resisting against you. So your legs are constantly at work as you come up and down. If you want to add to it, one of the things you can do is as you come up, kick to the side and you actually start to work on a different muscle in the booty but still very beneficial for your hips. So squat, kick to the side and then you can alternate. Still another workout that you can use with the resistance band is going to be a lunge. So again you keep the bands and the handles at shoulder-width position and doing a stationary lunge you can just stay in position and come up and down and again you're going to feel the band constantly resisting against you. So your feels are going to feel this and you will be working them out. If you want to advance or progress the movement, you can step into a lunge and then come bring it through and kick and come back into the position of a lunge. This is Stephany with Elevated Fitness, and we just talked about how to tone legs and thighs with the resistance band, get lifted.
