Hi, my name is Claire, I'm a hairdresser. I'm going to show you a popular hairstyle for an oval-shaped face. We're going to be using an one inch curling iron and I'm also going to be using a Mason Pearson brush. An oval-shaped face is pretty much the luckiest face shape, because you can wear basically any style that you want to, depending on your bone structure. So, right now, I'm just going to show you how to do some loose waves and just to frame your face. So, the first thing we're going to do, is just brush through, using your Mason Pearson brush, just to smooth everything out. Then, we're going to take a curling iron and do a rope braid. And you're going to just open up your clamp and just wrap your hair around. And I'm not going all the way up to the root, just because we want to just open the face up a little bit. So, we're just going to do about midway down the hair to the ends, and just let it pull out. Pick up a section, wrap it around the hair or around the iron and twist the ends into it. Again, just about midway through the hair strands. And then, we're going to go into a little bit of the bangs, just to get it away from the face, so we can show off her face. And an easy way to do that, is to pick up some of the bangs with some sections of hair that are a little bit longer. It'll help you get a better grip on it, without having to burn your fingers. So, we're just going to do the same thing, twist it a little bit, oops. So, twisting, you're going to pull it into the strand, wrap it, let it go. Here we go, it's away from the face. You can use your fingers just to kind of wind around, and just place your curls the way you want them. And let's do the other side. I'm just going to do the same thing, and just take a small section, do a rope curl away from the face. Doing curls away from the face are really just going to open you up. And, let's do one more over here, twist and wrap and just be careful. If you let go the clam, it might clamp your fingers, so you just want to be very, very careful of that. And once we're done curling all of the hair, just kind of use your fingers, piece it out, fluff your hair up. And that way, it opens up your face. My name is Claire, and that's a popular hairstyle for an oval shaped face.
