I'm Phyllis of Many Creative Gifts, and in this segment I'm going to show you how to do a scallop edge using the double crochet stitch. When you're finishing your project, you're going to do a chain one, a yarn over and skip two stitches and go into the third stitch. You're going to do a double crochet stitch and then you're going to do four more double crochets into that same stitch. So, you'll have a total of five double crochet stitches into the same stitch. So, you've created your scallop. Now, you're going to skip the next two stitches and you're going to slip stitch into the next stitch. You're going to skip two stitches and you're going to do five more double crochet stitches into that third stitch; four, five. And then, you're going to skip two and you're going to do a slip stitch into the third stitch. By doing this, you create a really nice scallop edging to your work. I'm Phyllis of Many Creative Gifts and in this segment. I demonstrated how to do a scallop edging in the double crochet stitch.
