Hi, everyone. My name is Joi, I'm a makeup artist in New York, and today I'm going to be talking to you about skin preparation for waxing your lips. So, the preparation for getting your lip waxed actually will start to 24 to 48 hours before and what you need is basically just your basic cleanser and a bit of a exfoliator. So, what you want to do is first wash your face as usual, the day before and you want to make sure that you get any, any dead skin or anything that's above the lip off with a little bit of exfoliation and I'm going to show you the the technique here, with a little bit of facial scrub and you want to make sure that it is a facial scrub that you're using and not a body scrub because body scrubs can tend to be just a little bit more gritty and you don't want to irritate the upper lip, especially before you go to get it waxed. So, you just want to do this type of motion here, that she's doing, in a circular motion and just make sure not to go too hard because you don't want to irritate the skin. Okay, so you've got your exfoliation done and again make sure that you do that at least 24 hours before your waxing, so that there is not irritation. That means that when, the next day when you go in to get your waxing done, everything is all ready and you don't have to worry about any irritation and you don't have to worry about things being unsanitary because you've taken care of everything the night before. Thank you guys for watching and again my name is Joi, bye.
