Hello, there. My name is Jay Jones, celebrity peak performance coach and fitness minister and today we're going to talk a little bit about how to tie your shoes for ankle support. So, having high top shoes on is always fantastic for protecting your ankles, but what do you do when you don't have on a pair of high tops? Well, let's talk about it right now. As you can see this shoe is tied the way we would typically tie a shoe, not a lot of ankle support, pretty good knot, but not a whole lot of support on the ankle. This shoe completely untied. So, let's walk through the process quickly on how we can maximize tying this shoe to support our ankle. Alright, so instead of just going through, normally we'd finish this off by taking this and going back across and then taking this one and going back across, but what we'll do today is we're going to weave a web to help reinforce the top of this shoe, very simple move, very quick, won't take long at all. So, instead of going across like we normally would, we just take this one and we'd go in from the inside, then we'd take this and boom, now we've made a stitch, we've made a little stitch right here on the outside of the shoe. We're going to use this stitch in a minute. That's how we did it, so we're going to do the same thing on this side, we're going to go in, boom and then we're going to make that stitch coming right through the other side of the hole, boom. Now, that ladies and gentlemen believe it or not is going to reinforce this shoe. So, what we want to do now is take our shoelace and loop it trough our new reenforcing, same thing here, loop it through our new reenforcing and now when we pull our shoe together, we have an extra tightness right around the ankle. So, then we'll just proceed to tie a nice tight knot, like before, but as you see now we've got a lot tighter ankle support, then we have on this shoe. This shoe is tighter, this ones still loose. My name is Jay Jones, celebrity peak performance coach and fitness minister. And that is just a quick technique on how you tie your shoes to maximize ankle support.
