Hello there, my name is Jay Jones, Celebrity Peak Performance Coach and Fitness Minister. And today, we're going to discuss what is abdominal work. Whenever you work your core it is considered abdominal work. Now, most people typically think of abdominal work as your typical crunches or sit ups, but there are a lot of ways we work our core. We work our core everyday because everything emanates from the core. When we raise our knees up to our chest and we squeeze the oxygen out, we're doing core work right now. Another great core exercise that you can do standing up is what we call the steam engine. We put our hands behind our ears, not a lot behind our heads and all we do is we take our right elbow and drive it to the left knee. And then we do the same thing. Now, we're working our entire core, not just the abdominals, that exercise engages the obliques and the lower back. My name is Jay Jones, Celebrity Peak Performance Coach and Fitness Minister and that is what we call abdominal work.
