Hello there, my name is Jay Jones, Celebrity Peak Performance Coach and Fitness Minister. And today, we're going to talk about the importance of hamstring exercises. The hamstring is a very powerful muscles, it is that big muscle that runs right up, the back of your thigh into your gluteus maximus. So, one of the best things that you can do to keep your hamstrings healthy, is to make sure it's stretched properly. Alright, so we're going to show, demonstrate a very simple move that everyone of us should be able to do. And that's basically touching our toes. You want to take a deep breath in through the nose, and exhale as you reach for your toes. When you feel this, you also feel that hamstring engage immediately. A tight hamstring will prevent you from touching your toes, if you can't touch them, you definitely need to continue to work through that, until you're ale to do that. Once you're able to touch your toes, hamstring exercises are a bunch or plethora, are in abundance from running, to swimming and from our move, the good, old squat. The squat is another fantastic lower body exercise and it really engages that hamstring. You can feel the hamstring engage as you go down, and you release the tension as you come up. One more time, we go down and we release the tension as we come up. That's not just good for the hamstring, but of course, it's a gluteus maximus builder as well. My name is Jay Jones, Celebrity Peak Performance Coach and Fitness Minister. And those are just a few of the ideas why working that hamstring muscle is so important.
