Hi, I’m Lori Greer from Atlanta, Georgia, and I’m here to look at long-term goals of a financial analyst in corporate finance. A financial analyst is someone who evaluates businesses, projects budgets and other finance-related entities to determine their suitability for investment. When looking at a corporation, the financial analyst will often focus on the income statement, the balance sheet, and the cash flow statement. Of course, a primary goal of any corporate finance is to maximize shareholder value. For long-term choices, they would possibly look at which projects receive investment, whether to finance that investment with equity or debt, and when or whether to pay dividends to shareholders. Again, I’m Lori Greer from Atlanta, Georgia, and we just discussed what would be long-term goals of a financial analyst in corporate finance.
