Hi, I'm Kim Turner, a personal stylist and fashion blogger at Fashionsense.tv, and today I'm here at The Limited to tell you the difference between Lycra and Spandex. And the truth is there is no difference. Lycra really is just the brand name of a Spandex fiber. So think of it like Puffs being the brand name of tissue. The thing you really want to consider when you're looking at garments is not whether or not it reads Lycra or Spandex, you want to look at the percentage of Lycra or Spandex that's in the garment because that will tell you how stretchy the garment will be. The higher the percentage, the more stretch it has, the lower the percentage, the more taut the garment will be. So that will help you figure out whether or not those jeans you want to buy will actually stretch as you pull them on. I'm Kim Turner, and now you know the difference between Lycra and Spandex.
