Hi, I'm Kim, a personal stylist and fashion blogger at Fashionsense.tv. And today I'm here at Sears Optical to tell you how to measure for glasses. Now Sears and I both think you should go see your optometrist. It's really important that you get these measurements right so that you don't walk around looking cross eyed. But here are the two key measurements that you should get. So first you know you need your prescription that's not the measurement. But the then the first measurement you should get is your pupilary distance, which is referred to as PD. This is going to be the measurement from the center of your eye to your nose. So it measures the center of your eye to your nose and you need it for both your right eye and your left eye. The next measurement that you'll need is the sec height. And this is really critical for people who have special prescriptions like bifocals. This measurement is going to show where the center of your eye is going to hit on the lens. And that's important because that's the area where the prescription is going to be the strongest. So if you get that measurement wrong you could likely be forced to wear your glasses at the end of your nose. Now that you know how to measure for glasses remember Sears and I recommend that you go see an optometrist. But you've got the measurements so you should be all set. I'm Kim Turner, Fashionsense.tv.
