Hi, I'm Kim Turner I'm a personal stylist and fashion blogger at Fashionsense.tv, and today I'm here at Banana Republic to explain the 3 types of button down shirts that you'll find popular this season. The 1st is the classic button down. This shirt buttons downs completely and it typically doesn't have pockets. It's great for work wear and it looks excellent with a pencil skirt. The 2nd type of button down shirt is the placket. The placket fully covers the buttons, this is typically made in a lighter more dressy material like a silk. So you'll want to wear this to work with great slacks, under a suit and again it works perfect with pencil skirts also. The last type of button down shirt that's big this season is the utility shirt. This shirt is known for its prominent pockets that are featured on the chest. So if you're larger on the chest and don't want to draw attention you want to avoid this shirt. If you still think this shirt works for you then make sure you consider this as more casual wear. These prominent pockets tend to make this shirt a little less dressy but it still looks great with flannel pants and it'll look perfect with jeans. So now you know the 3 types of shirts that are popular this season. I'm Kim Turner at Fashionsense.tv.
