Hi, my name is Terina Gillette. I'm a professional event coordinator, and today we're going to talk about how to make a pumpkin look like a bat.The first thing that we're going to do with our pumpkin is we're going to paint the entire pumpkin black, spray pint is fine, just make sure that it dries all the way through. And then we're going to add our pumpkin face so you can draw it out on a piece of paper and cut this piece of paper and place it on to your pumpkin and then you can carve directly through the paper, to get the shape of your eyes and your mouth. Or what you can also do is draw with a pencil or a piece of chalk over the black and that will show up and then you carve with your tool. The next step that we're going to do is we're going to draw our bat wings. This is just scrap booking card stock, that you can get in any color and then I just drew a general arch shape with my marker across the top and we cut a very simple bat wing and then I outlined it and added dots and swirls and just random patterns in there and you can anything that you like inside of your shapes. After you cut out your bat wings you want to make sure to take the end that you're going to glue on to the pumpkin and crease it about a half an inch, maybe a little less depending on the size of your pumpkin and the size of your bat wings and then you're going to just glue them on to your pumpkin and you can use a low temp glue gun or craft glue to do that and after you complete all of those steps, that's how you make your pumpkin look like a bat.
