Hi, this is Nicholas Iarocci, The Home Source guy, president and owner of Source Development, Inc., a residential and commercial construction company in Garnerville, New York and this is how to fix a toilet that water continuously flows into. A couple of issues that might arise with a toilet having that problem, for one, you may have a fill valve issue where the fill valve is damaged and despite anything you do with the float level, the valve continuously runs into, overflows and then runs into the overflow valve and then that will keep the toilet continuously running. So you'd have to replace the flow valve, fill valve at that point. Another issue would be an issue where contaminants are at the bottom of the flapper or seal. You may get an issue where the seat on the overflow is contaminated with debris or there's something lodged in it and sometimes the chain comes off of the lever and gets lodged between the float and the seal on it. One other issue that you may have a flowing toilet would be a damaged overflow tube. You might have a crack or split in it where the entire stand pipe and overflow would have to be replaced. And those are some common problems and fixes for a constantly flowing toilet. This is Nicholas Iarocci, The Home Source guy, president and owner of Source Development, Inc., a residential commercial construction company in Garnerville, New York helping you build a better life. We'll see you next time.
