Hi, my name is Byron Udell. I'm the Founder and CEO of The question today is how to locate or find life insurance policies of a deceased person. Not critical that you find the policy of a deceased person in order to collect down the policy, it's critical that you know about the existence of the policy because if you don't know what exist, it's very hard to make a claim. So, often, what people end up doing is sort of ransacking the possessions and the drawers and the safe and all the other stuff where the deceased might have kept important papers. That's obviously the, that's the obvious answer. But, if you can't find it there and you suspect that one exists, one of the best things to do is to go through the checking account of the deceased or the deceased and his spouse, if there is one and find out whether any payments have been made in the last 12 to 18 months to a life insurance company. If there were payments made, a policy probably exists and you'll know the name of the company because that is who the check was written to. So, if you look at the checkbook register or the cancelled checks, check with the bank of the deceased, you can find out where premiums have been paid and the, you, it'd be easier to locate a policy. It's not going to help you much if the policy's fully paid up years ago, in that case, you need to sort of look through all the papers and see if you can find anything. Unfortunately, there are a lot of life insurance policies that are never discovered and as a result, the claims are never made, which is tragic. So, if you're still here and I assume you are, if you're watching and you have life insurance policies, let your beneficiaries know they exist, give them the policy numbers, give them the telephone number of the agent and, and that way they won't have this problem if that's the problem you're having. Again, I hope this was helpful. My name is Byron Udell. I am the Founder and CEO of
