Hi. I'm Tom Hutchinson. I'm from Hutchinson Plumbing Heating& Cooling. I'm here to today to talk to you about troubleshooting a furnace that will not light. As we enter into the fall season you want to go to your thermostat, put it in the heat mode first off and make sure you have a clean set of batteries in the thermostat and that you have lit up display on your thermostat control. You put the thermostat to a setting higher than the room currently is so it'll bring your gas furnace on. And when you're at the gas furnace. If you don't have, the furnace will not start some of the simple things you want to do, just go to your electric panel and make sure that you have power on at the electric panel. You also then want to check at the furnace itself that the safety switch is on the on position. It may have gotten turned off in the summer season. If you still don't hear power coming on you want to make sure that the gas valve is on to the gas furnace bringing gas to the gas valve itself. All right. If you've checked all those simple steps, then it's time to call a professionally trained service technician to come in and make sure your heater's ready for your winter season. Again, I'm Tom Hutchinson from Hutchinson Plumbing Heating & Cooling. Thanks for watching.
