Hey, everyone. Shannon Cook with eHow.com. We're going to reset an Xbox 360 and it's going to be awesome. To reset the display, as the console starts, on the controller, press and hold Y while pulling the right trigger. Your display settings will reset to their default settings, and then the console will automatically restart. To reset the entire system, the first thing I'm going to do is format a flash drive to my Xbox. This will let me transfer over all of the save data off of my hard drive that I want to have after this reset. Once I know that I've made a copy of all content from off of my Xbox and onto my flash drive, I'm going to format the Xbox's hard drive and erase everything off of it completely. Formatting a hard drive is like killing the soul of the hard drive, reeducating the hard drive's soul so that it forgets everything about its past, and then reanimating that hard drive like Dr. Frankenstein reanimates monsters. So to format your drive, select the drive from the system settings tab and hit format. You'll need to confirm the process and after a few minutes, your drive will be completely wiped free. And there you have it. An Xbox 360 has been reset. Knowledge has been gained. Thanks for watching. See you next time.
