How to Use Foreign Keyboards on an iPad

The iPad allows you to change the virtual keyboard to any international standard you'd like. Use foreign keyboards on an iPad with help from a mobile strategist in this free video clip.

Hi, my name is Rachel Youens, and I'm a mobile strategist, and I also run the app log Ladyappapp.com, and today we're going to talk about how to use foreign keyboards on your iPad. So if you've ever changed an international keyboard on your iPhone it's a pretty similar process on your iPad. It starts by going to the settings button and let me backtrack so you can see it from the beginning. You're going to go to the general button and from general you're going to scroll down until you see the word keyboard. Click on keyboard and scroll until you see international keyboards. You can see I already actually have three available in there. Let's click on it and let's add a new one. So I'm going to hit add new keyboard and let's select French. So I have the French keyboard available to me now. Let's see if we can use it. So any sort of application that will use texts, the international keyboard should now be available but let's try it out in messages. So in order to access that French keyboard that we just added down in the keyboard area, you're going to see a little globe, tapping the globe will allow you to access all the different language keyboards and that gets us to the French one that we just used.
