How to Fix a Stuck GPS

Now, I want to talk to you about what to do in case your GPS is stuck or the screen is frozen. On this model, this is the Garmin Nuvi 2595 LMT and on this model the power button is right here near the top. Normally, if I single-click this button, see it's not working, the screen is frozen because normally when I single-click that button, it's going to go into standby mode, and right now that's not working, so we need to clear the screen. We need to clear it from being frozen. So if we, let's try holding down the button for four seconds, and now it gives us the option to turn off the device and we go ahead and select off and that will fix our frozen screen. I'm not going to do that because then it takes a little while to power back up and I need to show you another example. So if that does not work for some reason, if you're not getting anything to pull up, the next option is to go ahead and hold down the power key for ten seconds and I'm not going to demonstrate this either but it will go ahead and it will reset your Garmin GPS or any GPS for that matter, it will go ahead and reset it. If it does happen to work that you push the button a single time and it goes into sleep mode, just wake it out of sleep by pushing the button another single time. And of course, if that doesn't fix the problem, then go ahead and try the other options that I've given you, the four second or the ten second to actually reset your Garmin GPS.
