Hi, I'm Uma Stewart. I'm an Interior Designer and today, we're here at my Interior Design Studio, Uma Stewart Interiors and Lifestyle. We're going to be talking about apartment decorating designs. The key thing to remember when decorating an apartment is that you want your elements to be functional as well as decorative. Here we have a foyer console. This is something that you can put in the entryway of an apartment. It creates a place for you to sit, to take off and on your shoes and also you can keep boxes and and bowls on to keep your wallet, keys and other elements from your pocket. Then, you can add decorative items to the console like sculptural pieces and artwork to really decorate it. So, the space is functional and you're also decorating it. Every apartment needs a table where you can eat. This usually need to be smaller tables so they can fit in the tight corners of an apartment. However, you don't have to leave them un-decorated. You can decorate the surface of your table by adding a table cloth, a table runner, floral arrangement and other decorative touches to the table to make it look designed. Every apartment also is going to have a seating area. So, while you have your sofa, you want to also dress it up, decorate it with pillows, artwork and other things. Here we have a small side tables that can be easily moved around the apartment. We also have a smaller sofa that's scaled to an apartment size.We've also added this artwork and hung it with Velcro strips and removable hooks that don't damage the walls. Everything in apartment decorating needs to be non-permanent because you have to return the apartment at the end. This has been Uma Stewart and that was apartment decorating designs.
