Hi, my name is Uma Stewart. I'm an interior designer. We're here in my studio Uma Stewart Interiors and Lifestyle in Millburn, New Jersey. And I am going to talk to you about how to decorate a rustic loft. In order to decorate in a rustic loft style you want to add natural materials into a modern space. The key materials that you want to add would be distressed wood finishes. It's okay if paint is chipped, or if you show weathering in the wood. You also want to add a lot of other natural materials like woven wooden place mats, like linen materials, and other wood sculptural elements. Another thing that you can add would be to add stoneware to your table settings. Stoneware has a very country, rustic feeling to it. And everything should have and reinforce an organic natural feeling. This has been Uma Stewart and that was rustic loft decorating.
