Him I'm Chrisie Allemand, coming to you from BB3 Personal Training Center in Weston, Florida. Todaym I'm going to discuss Paleo diet alternatives for things like flour and other ingredients. First offm Paleo is short for Paleolithic and the theory behind the diet is eating like we did in the past, way way back like caveman past. So if you can catch it, gather it, pick it, that type of thing, you're good. It strays you away from processed foods. So when you are looking for an alternative to flour you're usually using it to bake something or to process a meal so technically you shouldn't be looking for alternatives that way. Other good alternatives that fit in the Paleo diet are right here like can be gathered or picked because it's on the Earth. Like instead of using pasta, use spaghetti squash. It's real easy to cook, cut in half, bake it on 350 for about 20 minutes. It comes out really tasty and you know, have some spaghetti on top. Paleo is a good diet but hard to sustain, mostly because it cuts out many food groups. You can't have diary, no processed foods, no starches, no grains, no alcohol. So it can be a very hard thing to stick to. It may be good for someone like if you have a fear of facing a disease like obesity, you could probably get some relief from this diet plan. I do not recommend this diet plan for an endurance athlete like a marathon runner. Paleo is not a way to go for you. However, Paleo does have good purposes. I'm Chrisie. Thanks for watching.
