Hi, I'm Chrisie Allemand, coming to you from BB3 Personal Training Center here in Weston, Florida, and today I'm going to show you how to make a low carb whey smoothie. The first ingredient in a low carb smoothie is water. Today I'm using Smart water but you can use any high quality H2O. I'm also going to put flaxseed, a good source of fiber and lignins. I'm going to, for my protein I'm going to use a low carb whey. You can use any brand that works for you. This one has 0 carbs and I'm going to use two scoops which is going to provide 180 calories. Now low carb smoothies traditionally don't include fruit simply because fruit is a carb. So you miss out on the opportunity to have a lot of antioxidants. So what I recommend is using a green's formula which is pulverized fruits and vegetables and we have our own brand here but you can use any high quality brand of greens. So total combined this smoothie is going to have 315 calories and only 2 grams of sugar which is pretty darned good and it's rather tasty. And this is a healthy low carb shake. Um, that's good. I'm Chrisie. Thanks for watching.
