Hi, my name is chef Jennifer Booker. I'm the owner and executive chef of Your Resident Gourmet. Today I'm going to show you how to pickle an egg using pickle juice. You'll need hard boiled eggs, pealed, herbs and spices. I like to use garlic powder, red peppers, fresh ground black pepper, Hungarian paprika, or sometimes I use my own spice blend. And then you'll need pickle juice. You can use dill pickle juice, or kosher, or even sweet pickle if you'd rather. And of course we have our jar to pickle it in. Take your pickle juice and add your spices. This recipe is really all about your taste. A little bit of garlic, I like it spicy, so I'll put a little bit more of red chili flakes. Fresh cracked black pepper, and then paprika, a little color and a little heat. Stir until well combined. And now you can put your boiled egg inside your jar. You can always use a larger jar and make more pickles at one time. Cover your hard boiled egg with your spice and pickle juice mixture. We'll put a little bit of my special spice blend right on top. Add your lid, firmly but not too tight, and then store in your refrigerator for at least four weeks before you enjoy it.
