Hello, I'm Chef Jennifer Booker, the owner and executive chef of Your Resident Gourmet. Today, I'm going to show you how to cook an egg over hard. We'll need salt and fresh ground black pepper, farm fresh eggs, the oil of your choice, and then of course your saute pan. Let's go ahead and heat up our saute pan and add a little bit of oil. I like to use olive oil, but you could also use canola oil, corn oil or even safflower oil. While that's heating up, we'll crack our egg. Always crack your egg on a flat surface so that shell or bacteria doesn't get into your cracked egg. Let's check our pan. You're gonna wanna make that it's nice and hot before we add our egg. Okay. Let's add our egg. And once our whites start to set, we're simply going to roll our egg over, and fry it hard. We wanna make sure for a fried egg that you crack your yolk. You wanna make sure that there's no softness, and that your egg is perfectly set. And this one is fried hard.
